AZUR IN JULY
One month after Beau Geste SOAR acquired him
Almost six weeks separate these two pictures. AZUR has grown a little and filled up as well. Will he grow and develop to become a grand Prix Dressage Horse? We think so at BG. The collection of his pictures will be gathered in an animation of his growth and development. This animation will help show how one can predict the physical evolution of a horse. Here are our July observations.

AZUR still looks like a foal with knobby joints, sunken muscles and dished hooves. His legs have lengthen a little, giving him a gangling appearance. However, he has filled up some around the neck and over his hips. His proportions are still in good balance.

Azur loves to graze in his pasture. Thanks to the gentle slopes, he develops a good balance. He takes off on a tease. Nose in the wind, tail up, he caracoles on the go. Stops proud. Looks around. Snorts in defiance.  Drops his head. back to graze again.

Arthur comes to catch him. Azur walks towards him right away. Arthur is his human friend. He often has a treat in his hand. Its time to exercise. A good grooming feels like a relaxing massage. It helps taper growing pains. Arthur is so good at it.

Free lunging is fun. With no restraint Azur can raise his head or drop it all the way down without changing his tempo. That's a good sign. Arthur says "Good Boy" each time Azur stretches down.  Arthur only moves his whip when Azur drags his heels.

After 6 weeks with BG, AZUR's
appearance has
improved a little.

Azur loves Arthur.
