ARTHUR L'ECUYER
AKA "ART", BTB related to friends and disciples of Général L'Hotte
Arthur L'Ecuyer is said to be blessed by good equestrian origins. He is said to be the grandson of a cavalry officer, friend of Général Alexis L'Hotte, who presumably fathered Arthur's grand father out of wedlock. Anne-Marie Légère, a talented equestrienne, student of L'Hotte, tried to register Arthur's grand father under the name "Fils de L'Ecuyer." The clerc registered him as Fidel L'Ecuyer.

Fidel L'Ecuyer passed on to his offsprings the equestrian tradition he inherited from his parents. A medley of the best of Newcasttle, La Guérinière, and Baucher. Confused like most of the children of his generation Arthur did not want to have anything to do with his parents' activities. He stood away from riding until he met Eva, an equine masseuse. She admired his parent's equestrian skills.

Impatient to make up the lost time Arthur asked for the help of his parents. He became confused by their conflicting messages. His father and his mother used the same words but with somewhat different meanings. Both claimed to ride according to the French Classical approach. The difference seemed to relate to the fact that Art's mother had learned it from an austrian classical instructor.

When Arthur asked BGSOAR for help, we saw in him the perfect candidate to test the validity of our equestrian philosophy. He is motivated beyond belief. He wants fast results. Failure is not an option. Above all he wants to get the undivided attention of "l'objet de ses désirs," Eva. He could not abuse or blame the horses he rides. The young equine masseuse would for sure see through it.

Arthur has the profile of the perfect student. He will want to learn to ride avoiding the use of force. He will be faithfully improving his sensitivity and his athletic condition to ride at his best. He will be open to learn to detect any undue tension his horse may display. Arthur won't hesitate to ask Eva for her professional advice. He will give her credit for her work when credit to her work is due.

Did we tell you that Eva was a senior BGSOAR student who has attended several of our clinics? Well, if we forgot, now you know!
Here is a picture of Art ready to start his exercises
In the E-clinic we show how Art goes from this reference laying down position
to an unstrained stretched position and back to this position
Supporters can see the 1st animation of Art breathing avaible by E-mail
Congratulations to Arthur, the valedictorian of EC 2001
